An ‘inbound’ Journey refers to a visit from a Friendship Force club in another location to your local community. Conversely, an ‘outbound’ Journey involves members from your club visiting another community. These Journeys facilitate cultural exchange, fostering friendships and understanding.

A host is a valued member who opens their home to accommodate visitors during a Friendship Force Journey. While hosting typically involves providing lodging, if you don’t have space, you can still contribute by hosting a meal, offering transportation, or serving as a tour guide. Host responsibilities include creating a welcoming environment, sharing cultural experiences, and facilitating connections between guests and the local community. It’s a flexible and rewarding way to engage in the spirit of Friendship Force.

An ambassador is a member who represents their local club during an outbound Journey. Ambassadors embody the spirit of Friendship Force, fostering cultural exchange, and building connections with the host community. Their responsibilities include engaging in meaningful interactions, participating in activities, and promoting understanding between cultures.

Friendship Force is open to individuals of all ages. Our diverse membership includes people from various age groups, backgrounds, and walks of life. Everyone is welcome!

Host families are selected based on their willingness to participate and their interest in cultural exchange. Our goal is to ensure a positive experience for both hosts and guests, fostering meaningful connections.

Absolutely! While hosting is a wonderful way to contribute, it’s not mandatory. You can still participate in Journeys, engage in cultural exchange activities, and build friendships without hosting.

Journeys are organized by our club coordinators in collaboration with other Friendship Force clubs. The frequency of Journeys varies, but we typically have several throughout the year. Check our events calendar for upcoming opportunities.
